I've been photographing the Telluride Film Festival for several years and it's enormous fun. Unlike Cannes, or other festivals, Telluride is small and intimate, so the filmmakers who attend are relaxed and accessible to all. I always try to make things interesting by photographing different aspects of the festival instead of focusing solely on famous faces.
Loving Vincent is a new film that screened at TFF44 (Sep 2017). Its the first fully painted animated film and each of the films 65,000 or so frames is an oil painting on canvas. The film screened at the Abel Gance open air theatre in Elks Park, a great location with it's mountain backdrop, under the rising moon
